Flower Arrangement (Ikebana 生花)

More than simply putting flowers in a container, Ikebana is a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. It originated in early Buddhist years and developed into a distinctive art form in the 15th century. Ikebana is one of the most distinct arts of the Japanese culture, developing a closeness to nature which provides relaxation for the mind, body, and soul.
